ok guys, took my wheel in today for a simple flat repair. the installer damaged the lip, manager came and take a look said he would replace the wheel. here's the thing i don't get. if i want to keep the old one i would have to pay half price, is this fair? how many of you guys get to keep the old one for free or do you just let it go?

I think so! They're replacing your wheel with a new one; they get to keep the old one. I think they're giving you a deal by being willing to sell you the old one for half price! And if you don't want to buy it, you're still coming out way ahead.

i would have to agree whole heatedly with the shop manager on that one.. they are taking responsibility for the damage and replacing it for free.. what more could you ask for.. at least they are not telling you oh well too bad have a nice day...

I don't think you have bad luck. Maybe you could say you have bad luck if they didn't agree to replace your wheel, but they did...
