Nitrous Oxide and a adjustable fuel pressure regulator
On a Zex Dry Nitrous system, what would the effects be if an adjustable fuel pressure regulator be? I have one on my car (1996 Prelude VTEC) set to the stock pressure, but the Zex system doesn't say anything about it. Should it stay, go, or what? Any thoughts on this?
Leave it. It adjusts your baseline pressure. If you're running mods like a header, intake, exhaust, etc, you'll want to add more fuel to the extra air that you're sucking in.
Plus, ALWAYS REMEMBER: Running lean on N2o is BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD.
Lean = boom.
Boom = hole in your piston or half an exhaust valve missing.

The Zex kit will control your fuel via a vaccuum tube to the fpr. If you want to tune your car properly pick up a VAFC and soem dyno time. I wouldn't touch your fpr unless you are running lean.
Is 40 psi @ idle the stock pressure? Or should it be higher with a dry shot on 55 hp jets? I just want to be extra cautious given the violent nature of N2O when lean. Just for fun, what would the opposite side of the coin produce if way too rich? Laughin 2.2 suggested a VAFC, which I did have on the car at one time. All it did was kill the mid-range and throw check engine lights. Wiring was checked 3 times, and tried in alternate schemes with no luck, so I took it out. It had been on the dyno to tune it, and nothing radical set on it. It functions perfectly with no problems in a friends 2000 Civic Si. This particular car is a 1996 4th gen., the last of the 4th gens. and of course the first year of OBD-II. Is this a trait common to the 1996 4th gens. or just an anomoly of my Lude. Car has been perfectly happy since taking out the VAFC. I'd really like to put it back in though, if the problem could be remedied.
Get a Holley fuel pump or something, and you'r good to go
