Default Head Bolts

Hey guys, I got a quick question on head bolts, did a search and couldnt find anything conclusive.
Are H22 head bolt re usable or are they torque to yield and need to be replaced every time. The torque specs lead me to believe there not TTY but wanna be sure. Also when replacing a head gasket are there any other unique gaskets and seals required other then the obvious. Thanks in advance and sorry if these are redundant no brainer questions, I dont have loads of experience with honda's

It depends. There are a lot of people that say no, some say yes. If you have a helm manual it has the service specs in it. You can measure and see if they are in spec. When we put the new head on my roommates 01 we asked a friends dad who is a honda engineer. He said the later model H22's had a bit better bolts and on the 01 he would, but probably not for an H22a or a1. It really boils down to if they are in service spec or not and how comfortable you feel with doing that.

Just get ARP ones and you can re-use them in the future. I wouldnt re-use head bolts. The bolts are design to stretch as they are torque which gives them the clamping force, if you reuse them they wont be as good as if they were new. They will problably work fine but i wouldnt cut corners with the head.
