Default project rex

its time i do one of this timeline thingy for my rex....i bought the car on 1/12/07 and it was a totolay bucket when i got it...it had no passenger axle no tires no bkrake calipers no tags to regestration and i bought the car off a impound lot for $600.00 and at the time it was a good invest ment beacuse it is a si model.

1/13/07
i bought the passenger axle and the calipers off a local shop here in central cali...well it was really hard to put the axle in scence the top bolt for the camber kit was stripped and wouldnt go back on..but with alittle elbo grease i finaly got it in....that was it for that day because i had to go to work..

1/14/07
i went to the local autozone and bought the brakes for both sides and put them in...(what a relief) finaly the car was was back on the ground and ready to run...well not yet the motor had a blown head gasket...so it was time to put that in..the procces took me like all day because of all the bolts i had to replace while taking the head off

1/15/07
today i finally got the car started and ready to smog but since the odemeter had more than 200 plus miles on it..i had a good feeling the car was not going to smog so i installed a new catelitic converter. and bleed the brakes...also the shifter has put on the wrong way so i had to flip it.lol..dumb *** people

1/20/07
2day the basic tein dampers i ordered finaly came in it was purdy easy to intall the front ones but the back one were hard since..in the procces of taking the old ones of the botom nut on both struts broke...and half the nut was stuck on the lower cntrol arm..lol..so i just took the control arms and shaved the old nuts and welded new one that took a long deal since i had to weld them straight..but the car has a clean drop to it know

1/21/07
2day was my day off work so i had most of the day to work on the car..i went to to mr.engine a local shop here and bought a mugen front lip and the driver side bumper light i needed...so far the cars starting to loook more like a jdm car than the rice bucket it was...

1/23/07
2day i had nothing to do so i decided to stich up the ripped si seats with a red linesing like the reall itr seat... and installed new back speakers and a pioner cd palyer..that nice i dont have to carry a portable cd player any more..the seats came out good for me not being a granma..lol..that it for know but ill keep updating on the new motor son to come in

hers a couple of pics

after like a month of doing nothing to the rex..i finally decided to get back to work on it..yesterday i took off all the wiring to the motor the headers, the shift linkage, lose'd all the motor mounts, and relocated the battery to the back seat...
