Belt Slipped, How do you check for a bent valve?
Thanks guys. Are there any other methods? I was told to put a new belt back on and set the everything to TDC and spin the crank. If there is tension that I can't fully turn the crank then the valve is bent. Correct me if I'm wrong please.
I'd imagine that would work to some extent.
However some compressed air and a leak down gauge, once you have the belt on and cams set ... would be more helpful/informative.

check to see if you can smell gas. bent valves lead to fuel being unburned and puts out a distinct gas odor. also you can with your engine running unplug 1 injector.....the engine should start to sputter.....plug it back in..........if the engine goes back to normal idle then that cylinders valves are fine. check all the cylinders. if you pull one out and it doesn't sputter then you have a bent valve. there will be some chatter noise coming from inside the valve cover also if there are any bent. hit me back if you need more help. new to honda tech..trying to meet some people
oem belt should last a good 75000 + miles, right?
.....depends on the usage. Big cams cause more wear..... try 15k for those who are worrisome.
One thing I forgot to mention that I did have Spec B's on
a 50K mile OEM belt. The ironic thing is that I have
8 Power Enterprise belts for sale belts sitting in my house

I was going to do the install soon right after another week for exams to finish and Graduate college.

There is a big part of the booboo. At 50k mile, the OEM belt starts to get tired even on stock camshafts. At least get a new OEM belt and inspect it more regularly.
