Default thinking about gettting a cheap set of Sumitomo htr200 high performance summer tires?

I am thinking about getting a set of Sumitomo htr 200 tires for summer and people have said good reviews about them but what do you guys think about a 205/60/15 tire for a rota slipstream rim?

are you needing good dry grip and decent wet performance??? my suggestion to you would be to get the bridgestone re960 as or the kumho asx..

The HTR200 is really crappy. Inexpensive, but crap. In most sizes, for a few bucks more, you can get the Kumho SPT, which is MUCH better.

That sounds like an odd size to use for a Honda/Acura car. What kind of car is this going on (year, model, version)?

Those are all-season tires. If he's not using the tires in snow and frigid cold - and he said he's getting them for summer - then he's better off with summer tires.

That still sounds like the wrong size.

What year is your Civic hatchback? If it's '96 or older, you should be getting 195/50-15. If it's '97-00, you should be getting 195/55-15 or 205/50-15.

The Kumho Ecsta SPT is a great tire for "bang for the buck". It has very good dry traction, excellent traction in rain, lasts a long time (30-45K miles), and it's amazingly inexpensive. You have to spend a whole lot more money if you want to get a tire that's any better.
