D16s are not junk. Don't believe the hype about the almighty B16A.

First of all welcome to honda-tech. The best tool in HT is the search and FAQ options. Those tools will help you more than you will ever know.

The d16 isnt junk. But I understand you probably want something that is faster. The b16 is a good motor. But almost everyone has it and yes it is overrated. What are your plans for the car. Is it a DD or something for the weekends?

Good luck with that.... there are also motor mounts, axles, seals, gaskets to consider.

Any time you plan a motor swap you might as well double how much you think its going to cost.

<--- b16 here with itr cams and intake manifold and i am still disapointed.

go 1.8 or 2.0, dont half *** anything you decide to do.

spend a little more than 1200 and you can go with a well built lsvtec or turbo d series or something. you can find an ls block for real cheap, even b16 heads go for cheap. do it right the first time.

My car was just a Ls with a turbo before I bought it. It was pretty fast and fun to drive. Now that the turbo is off I am thinking about doing a Lsvtec and later going with a turbo...but I know Ls motor do not like to "tach out" so I am kinda scared of the combo!

save your money and build whatever you want, im just saying you can put something together that will make more power than a stock swap.

you have many options. do a little research and i'm sure you'll find what you want to go with. just dont cut corners on the really important stuff
