here is the deal
the engine i am putting together came out or a wrecked prelude .
one of the cam gears are bent so i am replacing it.
due to i mix up i only recieved adjustable one gear and i am debating which side to use it on.
in Feb i will go to the dyno and get a base line run and maybe get a tune (if i can find sombody)
should i put the cam gear on the intake cam or the exhaust cam. i am running oem cams at the moment. later on i will add another one adjustable gear and some skunk cams but untill then which side should i put the adjustable gear on now??

I know its only one but i do intend on playing with the setting
just curious to know which cam i would better off adjusting
i think it would be the exhaust cam , so i can play with the overlap but i am uncertin
i know either one will work

If the head is milled slightly then put the adjustable gear on the intake cam this will allow you to compensate for slight retardation of the intake cam.
It's a valid question. Sometimes one does not have the luxury to have everything. So figuring out what to do with what is a smart thing to do.
