Default only one adjustible cam gear, Which side? intake or exhaust

here is the deal
the engine i am putting together came out or a wrecked prelude .
one of the cam gears are bent so i am replacing it.
due to i mix up i only recieved adjustable one gear and i am debating which side to use it on.
in Feb i will go to the dyno and get a base line run and maybe get a tune (if i can find sombody)
should i put the cam gear on the intake cam or the exhaust cam. i am running oem cams at the moment. later on i will add another one adjustable gear and some skunk cams but untill then which side should i put the adjustable gear on now??

I know its only one but i do intend on playing with the setting
just curious to know which cam i would better off adjusting
i think it would be the exhaust cam , so i can play with the overlap but i am uncertin
i know either one will work

If the head is milled slightly then put the adjustable gear on the intake cam this will allow you to compensate for slight retardation of the intake cam.

It's a valid question. Sometimes one does not have the luxury to have everything. So figuring out what to do with what is a smart thing to do.

more like shipper error
they sent me a civic sohc one and a h22 one
the cams are going in tonight so here we are

thank you sir

the head is milled .030" but i am using a f22 crank/rods with type-s pistond so the headgasket is thicker at .051"
i am still uncertin but i have to finish before friday because were expecting snow and i dont have a garage
the other replacement will be here on tuesday but i wont put it in untill the summer when i get some cams
