Default B-series Axles, something I learned during the swap.

Hey I just wanted to share something with folks doing swaps, b-series swaps paticularly.

I went to advanced auto to get some axles for my swap. I orderd axles for a 91 integra non abs 5 speed. Took them home, passenger side fit, drivers was totaly wrong. My half-shaft had a male out put, and my axles had a male output.

So I brought it back too find out this

Axles from 1990 to 2000 are the same, Passenger side that is, all have the same pat #.

Drivers side must be specific with the half-shaft.

you never new that?

its actually 90-01 passenger side..

then for driver side either cabe 90-93 integra or hydro 94-01 integra,99-00 civicsi, del vtec,etc....and with the sir1 halfshaft you need a 1/2 90 integra 1/2 88 integra for most vehicles.

so you have a hydro halfshaft

Nope, sure didnt man. I bought the half-shaft off an h-t member, told me it was a Da halfshaft.

But yea, now I know. Thanks for the year clarification.

Yunk yards are full of Da, if the driveshaft is already missing your 3 bolts away from getting it. If it isn't, get them to cut the shaft in half and pull it out, then your 3 bolts away.

Out side of my misspelling Junk ( yunk, lol) what don't you get? He needs a half shaft. They are held on by 3 bolts. Junk yards have DAs like its going out of style, they are super easy to remove if the driveshaft is missing, if it's not, ask the junk yard to cut it in half and pull the half off, and then it's 3 bolts before you get your half shaft.

If you would like I can find one for you. PM me if you want that to happen.

No I dont need a half-shaft. But thanks, I was basically stating this:

The axles from 1991 to 2001 are the same for Integra's, on the passenger side.

Cool, thanks for the info. This may help people in the future, even though there are allready several threads concerning this. BTW, the axles worked out great with my swap with the Innovative Mounts.

I would be throwing money down the drain with those axles.
