Default Best upgrades? And in what order to do them in?

what are the best upgrades to do for performance for my 03 RSX Type S? i have already upgraded the clutch. I am planning to go turbo but i am buildin my kit myself so it will take some time. What should i do in the mean time? and in what order? also, which brand of which upgrade is the best? thanks!

if you are planning on going turbo, the only engine/ performance upgrades to do w/o the actual turbo and accessories (intercooler, fuel upgrade, etc) would be exhaust and kpro, in that order. the kpro can first be tuned for n/a and then when you get the boost you can re-tune it for the turbo application. go with a larger exhaust (2-1/2" or 3") to make the most of the f/i. the hks hi-power turbo exhaust is a good choice. and of course, you can upgrade the suspension and possibly drive shafts and a lsd.

I've heard a mix of whether turbo "works" for RSXs, but having k-pro will help you tune it right. Start with K-pro if you have another car to drive while your parts are at Hondata. Then find a place near you with a dyno. Turbo parts you need good brands for are the turbo (which is any big name brand), wastegate (especially this, you dont want a cheap one to crap out and let the turbo spin freely, usually a Tial is good), and have an idea of your fuel deliver per boost. Dont know if you can use a fuel pressure riser on the RSX or if there is something out there that is better. Fuel pump too. I'd look into the kits like Greddy and see what they come with to help you select parts and if you want it to be easier, just buy a complete kit. Intercooler will just have to be a kit specially made for the RSX or take demensions of the space you have to work with and go from there. But to start, have your engine management planned out and installed first, then fuel parts and lines/hoses. Dont worry about more power for now (like a bigger exhaust), just get the turbo working reliably, then add bolt-ons that will give you more power.

Throw in a racing school somewhere; maybe even before adding anything to the car.

No use having all the fast parts if you don't know how to really exploit them.
