Default Humming Sound

I've always been wondering what the hell that humming sound is when I start my car, not sure if anybody else has experienced this. Can anybody shed some light?

Hmmm... is it something bad? And if so, is it fixable? short of buying a new fuelpump?

If it's coming from your engine bay, most likely the ABS system. If it's coming from the rear, fuel pump

Alright, thanks a lot guys. Now tha I know what it is, is there anyway to stop that noise? Or is it there for good? Don't tell me to disengage my ABS, cuz safety and performance come first.

if it's proportional to your speed i'm going with wheel bearing. that isn't all that safe.. but they aren't hard to replace..

No, it's not, at least not in my case, my humming comes when I first start my car, it hums for about 1 second, and that's it, so I think it's my ABS system.

If it speeds up with the car definetely a bearing. It's not that hard to replace.
