Tein Springs, H-Tech Vs. S-Tech.
I've been looking at some tein springs and was wondering about which choice to take between the H-Tech, and the S-Tech. I know the S-tech provides a pretty large drop compared to the H-Tech, but I don't want to go too low because of bad roads down here, but I still want my car to look lower. Does anyone have any pictures that I could compare a H-Tech setup to an S-Tech setup? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Yeah, I know there are pictures, but they're BS pictures, first of all, there are pictures missing for the Teg, secondly, on the ones that pictures ARE posted, they're all the same, so I don't even know which setup they have under each one.
I had the S-Techs on my RSX. I liked them just fine. Decent ride, improved handling, but nothing spectacular. I doubt you'll notice much of a drop with the H-Techs.
Yeah, I know, that's what I'm debating about though. The H-techs might be too little, but the S-Tech's might just be too much of a drop, and I have 15's so the clearance is going to be killer.

I have S-techs. It's a fairly conservative drop, lowers your car enough for better handling but it's not at all a 'show car dump'. You'll still have plenty of height to go over speed bumps, etc.
I wouldnt recommend the H Techs at all. You'd probably wouldn't notice the change in height.

Have S-techs on my hatch and I have about 2" gap all around
. You don't have to worry about speed bumps or wheel clearance. They ride good and are perfect for daily driving.

Make sure you buy them from a reputable source. The majority of the "Teins" out there are fakes, according to the CEO of Tein, whom a friend of mine spoke with.

Eibach is great... to the O.P I would suggest looking at the Sportline springs as well, I had them waaaaaaay back in the day on my first car... Very nice, great springs for the $$$...

No I didn't rule out Eibach, but I was just asking about the Teins, btw have any of you ever heard of Modacar.com or Nipponpower.com, and if so, are they reputable sources?

I've driven a 92 DA with s-techs and i own a 91 with h-techs and both had tokico illuminas. h-techs to me arent as harsh and sit at a nice height where the s-techs were dumped and rode like junk.....to me.
i have s-techs on tokico blues..ride is pretty much for a daily driver..not too stiff..kinda wished i went with skunk2's or somthin else..cause the s-techs dont really dump the car..i have a two finger gap all the way around..but still nice springs
I wouldn't call s-techs dumped at all, but I guess that comes from someone who knows the meaning of dumped

My friend had S-Techs on his Legacy and he could go straight over speedbumps fine. To the OP, I think it's kinda funny you're worried you'll be too low on either. Because you wont.
In fact, you'll probably want to be lower
