Default 'B18 or B20???????

I recently purchased a 92' teg with 200,000 miles. I want to replace the motor with one with less miles but I'm having truoble deciding if to replace it with a jdm B18b or a B20. What do u guys think? Will I feel a difference performance wise? I also plan to drop a vtec head when funds allow! What motor would you recommend I go with? thanx!

why don't you just buy a b18c1 or c5 and save yourself a lot of work.

b20 will give you more torque, fun with a light car

if you are doing jdm the b18 and the b20 are about the same price. I would go for the b20 for the extra torque. but if you are rev happy I think the b18 is safer. Note quite sure.

I hope you dont have problems trying to pass that swap when inspection comes around. Its illegal to put a light truck motor in a car.

It's funny how all the people suggested b20, but of course none looked at his location.

Saying b20 when it would go into a car that can't pass with it,
is just plain stupid, so then how would it be the better engine choice?

the b20 sucks *****, its not even good when you put a dohc vtec head on either, bad r/s ratio, thing cyl sleeves, and low revs ftl , torque is something that all hondas dont have, go with a b18c/1 save yourself a headache and youll be faster.

But the B20 is pretty much a drop in motor so no need for alot of hassle to install, and it is cheap compaired to a b18c. If you can get it to pass inspections and so on I would go b20 (im glad I live in Pa no laws about that).

But if you cant get it to pass there is kinda no point, as you wont be able to drive it legally.

But if money is not much of an object you will enjoy a b18c more I would imagine.
