the best way to prevent wheel lock is to not hit your brakes

You need to put Integra brakes on your front as well. Actually, I have no idea what I'm talking about, but smaller brakes on the front than in the rear = uneven braking in my mind.

Exactly what I was thinking.

I can see that you have alot of time to waste to give such a useful tech huh? told you not to waste my time. Why people like you be on H-T?

What causing wheel lock i must ask? If i change the front to integra brake too then how does it help to prevent wheel lock? I had stock front and drum before as the car came stock like that and i had wheel lock even worse.

My thought is that If your rear brakes are larger then the calipers are larger than the front. Since you have a prop valve that is proportional for both the front and rear brakes, the same braking force is applied and is harder towards the front since the brakes/calipers are smaller, causing your wheels to lock up.

But then again I have no formal knowledge of braking systems and could be blowing hot air here. I've also heard of other people having similar problems with that same setup.

just get the integra front breaks they are bigger than the civic ones... just get everything,,, rotors calipers , the bracket...it should help the balance.
i have your same set up on my hatch
but without the lockup problem...
are your rear wheels locking...or all of them?
car lowered? camber kit?

what makes you all think that the rear disc are sooo big. there not and this is not why the breaks are locking up alot of people do rear disc with stock fronts. i have them and no locking up.

okay okay enough kidding around...this guy does need some help before he kills himself. So I will ad my .02
When this happened to me in my VW it was my proportioning valve. It sucked but was fun for throwing my car sideways (when on purpose), not so fun when i had to break hard and the rear of my car wanted to swing around. This is definatly a serious problem and needs fixing. Brakes are nothing to play with unless you really know what you are doing. I suggest not driving that car in the rain. You could find yourself in a heap of trouble.

Replace your proportioning valve. bleed the entire system at each wheel, and then post the results.

But def replace the prop valve.

you had mentioned, it locks the wheel alot, meaning the steering wheel locks making it hard for you to turn ? or the back brakes are locking alot harder than the front ? is what most of the guys here are thinking.... or fronts are the only ones locking up....

well to answer your question here are a few things to consider, doing a disc conversion you have to make sure wat you pulled and put in its place will work meaning, from the 93 integras im sure they are abs ( anti lock braking system ) so im not to sure as to will this work for your car, let alone you need the correct proportioning valve from a 90-91 integra w/ no abs system but w/ rear disc brakes.... that and bleeding the system of at least one small bottle of brake fluid. you can never be too sure you got all the air out of the braking system.... theres been times when i've used up to one tall bottle of brake fluids and finally seen a difference in the braking performance. i have a 91 si hatch and have a 91 integra 2dr suspension on it... super great w/ the correct p.p valve.. also got crossed drilled and slotted tenzo rotors w/ hawk pads... super great... in fact too great.... the bigger the rotor and calipers are not always the best, unless you have an a-b-s system. cause the bigger, the better you just lock up .... so dont go too big.. just big enough... good luck.. keep the ef's alive..
