Default Car door is making noise? WTH!!!

So this morning I open my driver side door and suddenly I heard a cranking noise, sounds like two metal parts is rubbing against each other. As I listened to it more careful, I realize that it is coming from the metal piece that holds the door and allow it to open. I hope I am making myself clear but this is the best I can do. I think it is an L shape metal piece that stick to the car body, and in it, is another piece that connects to the door. So what is this noise?

Any help is appreciated

no, no...it is not the vtec. I have a GS. The piece that I am talking about is when you open the driver door out, the piece that allows the door to move back and forth and it connects to another piece. it is a not very big and you will not be able to see it when you open the door because it between the fender and the door. you have to open the door out and look straight to the fender sitting from the driver seat. Can anyone else help?

Thanks

It is the hinge. You can use some wd-40 or some grease.
