Default Different IM worth it, stock motor

i have gsr swap with just intake and exhaust, wondering if getting a aftermarket intake manifold (skunk2..etc) would be worth it? what's the difference between them? what gains/benefits are there?

First, No, don't even bother.

Second, Search for it has been covered numerous times,
and you will see why it's worse to upgrade the IM on a stock motor.

um .. No, on a stock motor, you might think you have better "power",
but only gaining 2-3 ponies above 5-6k, and losing down low, is not a "gain"

Unless you have some internal work, there is No reason to change the IM.

On a stock motor its not worth it. But if you are planning to go turbo. and you are building the motor now. you might as well throw a large plenum manifold to help you later.

It depends on your definition of better is. The gsr manifold has the long runners to keep velocity at lower rpms and the extra short runners for volume at higher rpms . I would say the gsr manifold has "better flow" being as it works well up top and low down.

But when it comes to boost short runners and big plenum is where you want to be.
