Woah, never seen anything like that. It couldn't have been just the fact that it was to much torque, cause people run alot more powerful motors than that with no problem.
Probably wheel-hop or sumthing like that.
Probably wheel-hop or sumthing like that.
and the 6 puck clutch. and the b16 lsd tranny. and the fact that they use baby *** tac welds to hold thos things together. if i have to get a whole new car im going to be pissed. and im gunna weld the mounts before we drop the motor in. damn 88 hondas...

Don't be a puss...
You drive a 19-year-old car that BB values at around 1k. Bust out the welder and go to friggin' work, son!

You should be able to weld everything back up. replacing the rear crossmember would be easier though. weld in those other mounts and them weld in some gussets so it doesn't happen again
def fixable just bust out your welder to fix the mount part. for the subframe replace it if you can find one. i dont think its as bad as you think it is.

my little welder isnt gunna do so good... i just tried and the way its bent the weld wont connect it to the frame. i have a carbon dioxide wire fed welder. its tiny. i think i need to have someone that knows how to weld do it... lol yea that shift linkage came on the car. i think its why i have to SLAM the thing into gear. if i try to shift slowly it like wont go in gear. and any gear the cars in i can move the shifter like its in nuetral.

Damn!!!!
Were you doing some serious clutch-dropping launches or what???
You should be able to pick up a rear crossmember from the junkyard for under 50 bucks. I just bought one with a steering rack and 2 front LCAs for 45 bucks.

Um, I know me and about a few thousand other turboed Honda owners make a lot more torque then you were likely to run. That’s a mad wheel hop issue. Old bushings in the suspension. Maybe loose mounts. Wrong clutch for the set-up. Torque doesn’t just rip holes in the subframe.
