Default 90-93 Accord head compatibilty

I have a 94 accord was woundering if a 90-93 accord head would fit . Are they the same head

might fit but why? They aren't the same though. What model Accord do you have? EX, LX, DX?

The 'head' part numbers are different in the parts catalog as well as the head gaskets.
For some reason, I think there is a difference in the coolant passages that keeps them from interchanging.

Maybe one of the swap specialist will chime in.

i'm not an accord swap specialist, but the dowel pins dont line up, i've been doing alot of reasearch on swaps.

it makes me think it might fit because people have put F22B1 heads on F22Ax motors for a SOHC VTEC head swap. So I would assume you could go in reverse but I'm not 100% sure on that.

It is a accord lx. The reason why i might be changing the head is that there is a consistent knocking sound coming from the top of the motor i pulled the vavle cover off and everthing looks in place the valve train is clean just stains of oil thats it what could it be

Yeah might work but why? Do yourself a favor and take it to a shop. I might something as simple as a valve tap.
