lsvtec oil squirter questions again...
i'm thinking about putting in oil squirters...i need to know exactly what to tell the machine shop quy to install them into my lsvtec...any pics would help...and advice too...going ctr pistons on ls rods...
i wouldnt waste my time, oil squirter are not gonna help that much, ctr pistons on ls rods= 13:1 compression and not 91 octane thats for sure

okay, now i'm lost...everyone has told me lsvtec with ctr pistons going to yield 12:1 compression. but oh well ain't going to argue with zeal auto werks comp calculator...but where the hell did everyone else get 12:1 compression from then...shine some light on me...but any help on the oil squirters...hehehe...

because most people use the c-speed calculator which doesnt take into account the different compression heights of pcts. you dont need the oil squirters.

i'm going to put them oil squirters in if it doesn't hurt...don't really want to run the ctr's now...****...but i hope on 91 octane and some fine tuning i'll be okay...right...hope i'lll be okay...crossing my fingers rite now...
so what do you guys think...should i be okay to run the ctr pistons then...

those will have lots of duration. but make sure you clay the engine first so you know you have enough clearances.

13.9:1 on 91 octane? um.. really?
using zeal calculator.. what's optimal CR for 91 octane. It looks like pootie is in a bind, but i'm still looking around for what i want. thoughts.

<-- who drove my LSVTEC w/ CTRs from AZ (91 octane) to NC.
(don't listen to the CTR hating bandwagoners that have never ran them before)
You shouldn't have any issues, especially with those large cams you plan on running. You don't need oil squirters.

you my friend are lucky! CTR pistons in a ls block yeild way too high of a compression for 91 octane! i have had that same setup and it needed nothing less than 100 octane to run right!

so whats your setup...just wondering...everyone is scaring me away from the ctr's...
i'm planing on doing it right...i'm gonna tow it to the dyno to break it in...then power tune it like 1k miles later...even think'n bout a cometic hg thickness of .046...so that i can have more room to adjust the cam gears...

i ran a simple set-up b18a1 block w/ ctr pistons on ls rods, gsr head, type r cams, b16 tranny,
i could never get the car to run correct on 91 octane, i bought some vp racing 100 octane and it purred!

to add to what someone else said the CTR pistons have .030 taller compression height than other B series pistons. thus in like a GSR which normally has .030 PTDH you now have .000 PTDH. CTRs in a B16 block equal +.010. etc etc etc.
zealautoworks compression calculator gives me 13.9:1 compression...
dang thats fawk'n high...
where is everyone else getting 13:1...
my buddy is telling me 12.8:1
okay now i'm lost...officially insane rite now....
