Which HID kit do you use? How well does it work? Cut-off etc.
Help me and others decide which kits perform better than the others.
Other brands can be added upon recommendation through PM

You can buy them all over the place. Phillips, Hella and Osram are all manufacturers of OEM equipment. You can always go the Ebay route, but there are places like xenondepot.com and HIDplanet.com that sell OEM D2s equipment.
If you want to learn about retrofitting I reccomend becoming a member of the HIDplanet.com forums and read up in the HID University section. You can learn anything you would ever want to know about HID, Halogen, and LED lighting.
If you do your research I don't understand why you would ever consider a drop in kit.

Not sure, I remember seeing them though. It was about 2 cm wide and tapered to the bulb, looked funny, but I bet it was better than without.

That's the first thing I thought when I came into this thread, and what do you know?... this happens to be the first reply made on here, haha. I loved my Matsushita (Panasonic) Acura HIDs, best ever, and easy to mount.

Not even close to a retrofit.
