hey guys, i'm new to this forum, i got my EP3 a month ago
i want to lower it for performance, not for cosmetic purpose, how much should i lower therefore it won't affect anything else??

I was on Tein S's and stock struts for a while and the ride sucked and the handling gain was minimal. I now have the Tokico suspension kit. It has the tokico blue struts and tokico springs matched to the struts so there is no guess work. The ride is great and the handling is much better and only cost about $450. Also the drop is only about 1.25-1.5 inches so you don't really need a rear camber kit. I combined that with a progress rear sway and I am very pleased with the way it turned out, great for a daily driver.

I have the tiens also on stock struts and....
The ride quality is not bad at all. You may have had bad OEM struts. Handling is somewhat better, I did not really pay attention to it on stock springs because I was not really into that aspect of the car.
I have also heard that the blue's and the other brand were basically factory replacements. I can't say this is the truth but it is what I heard.
If you want a good combination spring for some megan coilovers. They cost around 800$ but are great. If you just want a simple drop use the tiens with stock shocks till them blow.
As for the camber I have no problem with my rear camber but I eat a set of tires in the front ever 10,000 miles. It's sad, I need a camber kit.

ic, but if i lower it more than 1.5 inch, would it affect anything more than juz lowering the car, like stering geometry? camber?
one more thing, for Kevin, do u only have rear camber? or do u do ur front cambers as well?

I only have FRONT camber issues. Rear tires look brand new after 10k miles front on the other hand will need to be replaced due to camber this summer.
Steering could pull to one side or the other. You can fix this with an alignment.
Tiens go a little lower than 1.5 inch I would say. I think the front barely has any wheel gap same with the back Here is a few pictures of mine on the tiens with stock shocks. This is pretty much what to expect from the drop.

How do you have front camber issues? Sounds like an alignment or over-driving problem to me.
Lowering the EP3 in the front will not cause camber issues because of the strut design. The camber change will be minimal up to 2" lowering or so. If you go beyond this on stock-like struts, you'll actually move more toward positive camber, but nothing outside the normal range.
Your problem could be that you don't have enough camber because you drive the crap out of the car. If you get a camber kit, move toward a degree negative. The more the better, up to a certain point (no more than 2 degrees for a daily driver).

The springrates on the Teins are more aggressive than the springrates on the H&R's.

so Tein is more stiff than H&R?

My tires don't lie. The alignment is a-ok and I do not over drive. The car is used for a Daily driver.
