ls block, what all do i need to run a gsr head???
hey i was wondering, currently i have a ls engine in my hatch with an obd1 ecu. i am planning on building this block, and wanted to run a gsr head but i dont know much about swapping a vtec head onto my ls block. i was wondering what all i would need, im thinking along the lines of a gsr head, the oil line kit for the vtec, a gsr ecu (or will the ls one work..) a gsr distributor and oil pump, (or will the ls ones work..) and will i need to put a gsr wire harness in so i have plugs for the vtec selnoid? i heard that all of the harnesses were the same, just the ls integra didnt plug the extra plugs in, they just hid them.... so does my ls harness have a plug for vtec or not...? also if i change the ecu to a gsr wont it be obd2? and then ill have to change the harness to accomadate for the extra sensors on a obd2.. im a little confused by all of this so any help would be greatly apprecaited, or anyone that has done this before, let me know what all you had to buy...
Search, search and search some more. You'll either need a gsr or to add the vtec wires to the harness. You'll need a vtec ecu or a chipped ecu to operate vtec (they come in all years and OBDs...so take your pick).
