I'm having a problem with my sunroof. At first it wouldn't even open, but now it easily opens.

But now that it opens, it won't close. It will only close if you give it a strong nudge and then it will go the rest of the way on its own. For example, it can be all the way open, you hold the button and give it one strong nudge.. and then just hold down the button and it will shut the rest of the way.

What would be a good solution? Its not like its not working at all.. maybe I should grease the tracks, I just don't know what to do.

 

Clean the switch or get a new one.

Does the motor still run but it doesn't move?

If the motor isn't making noise then it's the switch.

theres also an manual crank on the roof right behind the sunroof...there a lil plastic cap that you take off and you will see a lil gear..
