rotors
I got my rotors resurfaced and bead blasted when I got my axles changed probably around 15K ago. I changed my pads when I did my swap, around 7K ago. I haven't noticed any uneven wear or brake fade.
So..do you think I should keep the rotors I have (since they are only 1 year old) and ask them to resurface before installing the new brake pads? What do you mean by "head blasted"?

Yeah, the shop I used to go to charged like $10 per rotor for resurfacing.
And "bead blasting" is a way to clean them. I had them bead blasted before getting resurfaced. They're put in a machine with a rotating perforated rubber belt, and tiny metal beads are fired through the holes. It takes off any build-up rust and grime. Then I had them resurfaced flat.

Rotors don't have to be replaced, they don't even need to be resurfaced with every pad change.
You should get them resurfaced every 2-3 pad changes, but OEM rotors will take a couple pad changes without problems. Worst case the pads will take a little extra time to break in, but they'll wear down.
Rust on a rotor is normal. The rotors are made out of iron, which rusts. The more salt you encounter, the rustier they'll get.
