Default Where to find a good h brace

Looking to find a good quality h brace for a 93 del sol and i cant seem to find a well known company that makes one, and im not putting any ebay tinfoil under there lol i have neuspeed lower control arm bar and upper front strut tower bar 4 point one. and wow wat a difference i noticed to anyone thinking about doing this its worth the money anything to stiffen up the twisty ride of the sol. so if anyone knows of a link to find a hbrace for a del sol send it my way that would be greatly appreciated.

the only company that makes them that Ive actually heard of is Megan racing. Not that they are totally awesome or anything, but that would be a better bet then most the ebay ones.

But for the record I had one of the ebay ones, and I think I lucked out, because it bolted on perfectly and actually helped initial turn in quite nicely. But it hung down so low I scraped everything.

Good luck laddy.

The ebay ones are Megan racing. I actually asked this question since I was wondering if they really do more than the upper and lower strut bars and was flamed out of here. I am pretty sure there was a sposer in the market place what was selling the megan ones for about the same as ebay. At least with them you will get better service if there is a problem.

so megan racing it is i guess lol, i guess they are cheap so if it doesnt work out ill just take it off and i wont be out much. i only have a 1.5" drop the sol so clearence issues are a huge deal the odd scrape here and there are inevitable. Especially on the crappy canadian roads. if anyone actually has pics or has used one of these megan ones let me know what you think the two bars ive purchased soo far have made a big improvement so kinda concerned if it worth going with the h brace i wont be doing any autocrossing. its just for everyday driving pleasure thanks guys

I have a few questions...
What does NRG mean?

Also I have a couple of pics of the h brace on my old hatch, but how the hell do I get it on here?

Also. You said you dont mind a few scrapes here and there. I had to raise my car almost 3/4 of an inch after I started driving with that brace on. It sits pretty low.

Oh yeah - Manga_Spawn - thanks for pointing that fact out nicely - usually you get your nuts ripped off if you are wrong at all on here. Thanks.

Did you honestly just ask that question on Honda-tech????? isnt the point of this forum to imporve an already great car. I understand the junk parts comment there are alot of them out there but you clealy have never taking a corner at any rate of speed in a del sol with the roof off, all the stability you can get is welcomed by most del sol owners. anyways i dont want this thread to turn into a chirp marathon just looking for some advice and experience. Stick to good parts, keep the weight down and have some fun. Whats wrong with that...

I believe the biggest problem with H Braces is that the rear bolts they grab onto the firewall with weren't designed to take the kind of force an H Brace can exert. At low forces it works but above the threshold the bolts can strip/pop.

Though to be fair, the ones I've handled before weren't made from particularly great metal, so they tended to fold or twist under pressure (so the two rear bolts don't bite it).

It's like 3-point upper front strut bars - if you don't mount it to the firewall right, all you're left with is a heavy 2-point bar.

Honestly I would just get some good upper and lower strut bars for the front and rear. Thats with some good suspension will be more than enough.

WTF? If you have to ask that, then you just don't get it.
