Someone hit my brother's SUV by running a red light. It has been repainted (wine colored metallic on Toyota 4 runner) and looks perfect under normal light, but at night under flourewscent lights like at a gas station, the repainted parts are purple.

Is this normal, or it is cheap paint, something done wrong, etc? It is a guaranteed repair under progressive, but has been back 4 times due to another shop doing bad work.

Any ideas? The car was perfect and only 2 years old.
