adjusting 4gen hood

Default adjusting 4gen hood

my hood is sitting up a little high on my car. meaning that it is not flush with the bumper. is there anyway to adjust it.

Yea, near the headlights under the hood are two little rubber stops. Just screw them in a little bit at a time until you get the fitment you want.

naw i already tried that. i even tried taking them out and it still didnt make a difference. its something with the latch..any ideas

Does your valve cover hit your hood at all?

no it doesnt. it sits up like 1/4 in from the molding. but no its not hitting anything. it has plent of space to come down. any suggestions

People often have trouble with the 4th gen bumper hood alignment. I think it might be caused by a sagging bumper or a bent/sagging bumper support. Does your hood line up well with your fenders and headlights? Then it is probably your bumper.

There is a post on here that shows different 4th gens and the issue.

Is it flush in the back, toward the firewall? Is your latch completely latching or is it just on the safety part of the latch? If the answer to both of these is yes, I would just try to lower the latching mechanism as be8teensee1 said.

well yea there is a gap between the hood and the headlights. there is another gap from the bottom of the headlight and the bumper. ill try to get some pics up.

lol i kinda have the same problem w/my 4th gen...i have aftermarket fenders, a carbon fiber hood, and an r34 bumper that i/ve broken and had to reglass like 6 times...so i kinda gave up lol
