Automatic to B16 Tranny Swap
I've been thinking about doing this swap for awhile, but then today on the way home from work, my tranny blew out. My lovely wife towed me home - 20 miles - in her magnificent Saturn, ha ha. So, as it sits in the backyard, with my tax return check on the way, I need to get my ducks in a row and figure out everything I need for the swap. Guess it's time to pull the GSR out of the garage.
Any help or suggestions on how to go about this, a list of needed parts, etc would be appreciated. Just wanted to talk to those who have done this first hand, but I'll be doing a search also.

you can actually keep your auto ecu. you can wire it to trick the ecu to think it's in park so the engine can free rev. you need: trans, flywheel, flywheel bolts, clutch, clutch bolts, slave cylinder (if it's not incl. with trans), clutch hardlines, clutch master cylinder, clutch pedal, manual brake pedal, shifter, shift linkage...and i think that's it. you DON'T want to use the whole brake/gas pedal assembly if you want cruise control. the brackets for the cruise control cable are different on the at and mt pedal assemblies. and the at cruise control cable is longer than the mt cable. SO just take the mt brake pedal and put it on the at assembly.
this swap isn't just a weekend deal. research as much as you can check out team-integra.net and clubintegra.com for as much info as you can get. i was going to swap my car. i bought all of the parts, realized it's too much of a pain in the *** and decided to keep my car an auto. 'm tryin' to find an auto b16/gsr trans and messin' with that. revalving the valvebody, 3400 stall converter...nice for and auto...but that's a ways down the road. the trick is findin' the trans...
