How come the 94-95 GSR's have a different one? Any benefits? And can you put on a Type R Oil pump with out any serious modification? I have 95 GSR and did not know this...

all 96+ b series oil pumps are the same. i think the only difference the 94-95 pumps had was the crank positioning sensor was on it.

True about the crank position sensor. The oil pumps are offered in an 80mm and 84mm gear. The 84mm is the newer ones if Im not mistaken and are thinner then the 80mm width wise. They interchange (minus the extra spot for the CPS), which on the pre-96s you can run the 96+ and just void the sensor. I believe the lower covers are different though...but the physical aspects are the same, it will bolt up and pump oil just fine.

also note...be sure to get the same timing belt with the same water pump...

ie: Gsr water pump with Gsr Timing Belt, or Ls water pump with ls Timing belt...

The number of teeth's are different..
