I bought my car as is with a 2000 Honda CRV B20b in it and an S80 transmisson. Does anyone know if the transmission came out of a regular Integra LS or a GSR? I have to replace my front axles but don't know what size to get. I also want to know if anyone has an idea of about how much it would cost to turn this stock motor into a VTEC?

 

they use the same axles...gsr and ls...so get whichever are cheaper...S80 can be any of three different transmissions Type R, LS, GSR ..You cant go by the stamp

 

what rpm are you turning in 5th gear at 80mph? Assuming you've driven it ofcourse? Memphizstylez is right though, the axles are the same.

 

I'm at about 4300 RPM in 5th at 80 and 5000 even at 100. I got GSR ones cause the trans has close ratio shifting.

 

4300 is a B16/ITR unless your tach/speedo is a good bit off. A GSR points almost dead up at 4k at 80mph.

 

I went ahead and ordered the GSR axles, I'm takin them to the shop before they put them on to see if they will fit. I will look up the other kind though, thanks
