The LS TB will work, I believe the original setup was to have the MAP on the firewall and the 94+s have it on the topside of the TB. You can either run a vacuum line to the MAP on the firewall or wire up the MAP on the TB....your choice.

Beats me of the exact differences on the intake manifold, but they are very similar.

I can help a little.

Besides the lack of PGM-FI tag, (looks like a usdm manifold instead) It is also made for a larger throttle body 60mm vs. 58mm and it has slightly different runners.

Its really quite simple:

The 2nd gen B16A intake manifold, the P30 is the best oem manifold made for any vtec pr3 head. It makes the most power along the greatest duration of your powerband. Its an improved version of the 1st gen manifold by a little bit.

All b series throttle bodies are interchangable regarless of model or year.
1st gen TB's for the b16a are 58mm, all others are 60mm

hmmm I think the P73 ITR intake manifold wld be the best for the PR3 head!

about the b16a1 and b16a2 manifolds. Yes the b16a1 isn't quite as good, but who cares if you are boosting it or what ever. I remember it has a little dashpot on it and can't remember what else compared to the b16a2 one.

(Maybe thats just the TB that had the dash pot)

really b/c for some reason the bolt pattern does not fit at all?? so does it mean any B series TB would fit any B series manifold???

Don't listen to this guy unless you want to lose power. I've owned both myself, there have been many dyno's and other threads to prove this. The P30 manifold is superior to the P73 right from idle to 8000rpm even on larger B20 vtec converted motors pushing 400hp on boost.

i have been hearding p30 is better than the itr mani.. but the problem is i need to fit a LS throttle body on to a pr3 mani.. would that fit?? i tried it, but the bolt pattern doesnt seems to match up!!!
