Default a simple question for you experts out there. will the ef work if i just bolt on the turbo without...

i plan on to just bolt on a turbo setup without any emanagement. turbo, fmic, and just piping. will the car run at all? or will i still need some more bare minimum parts just to get it to run around town? its my only ride and i dont need extreme power i just wanted to get the car to run while i look for more stuff to come. by installing it on now i can get this part out of the way.

if i put on injectors will it also need engine management or will it just not even turn over?

i was told i can run the whole thing with something called the blox and fmu? being that this ef only uses obd0 so i can get away with those two items.

I would suggest Not bolting it up at all until its done, is it a Pre fab Kit or a custom Kit.

Just say no

Fmus are a good way to be forced to ride a bike or take the bus, so is running without any management. Read around, start with the FAQ and, Look up Turbo Edit. Do not drive it untill you get management, your motor will be done in after ONE pull.

Anything is possible, but honestly it is a little too tempting to have a turbo kit on a car and not lean into boost.

Honestly if its your first kit, wait till you can put on atleast an fmu+AFC, honeslty its better than nothing.

Dont bother with the bluebox or what ever, its made for a really small turbo and has no ignition retard built into it.

i dont recomend either
but get a 12:1 ratio fmu any brand will do
run no more than 6psi
dont stay in boost long this is just to get you back and forth to work to make money so you can buy real management

what motor is this going on is it vtec or nonvtec
i have 2 nonvtec chipped ecus for sale so u can get a tuner to tune it with crome or uberdata or turbo edit

I know 2 guys who bolted their kits up to their cars w/o any fuel management. THey just wanted to drive around before tuning.

Guy #1 shattered all four cylinders of his built LS/VTEC when he forgot about 'no boost', and went way over 15psi.

Guy #2 didn't have any safegards in place for overboost, and happened to try boost the first time the same day the WG hose came off the nipple. BOOM.

Putting a turbo kit on a car w/o fuel management is like standing naked in front of a horny **** star. You can *say* nothings gonna happen, but that's *never* the case...

I must say, you have some of the most amusing phrases. I read one the other day about trying to make a boat fly.

well i just talked to a few tuner shops around me and they said i can get the emanage to hook up with my obd0. i dont know for sure about this but so far no tuner has said it would not work. so i am going to go that route because i already have the emanage in my hand. also it would be pretty nice not to need to go buy another item. they said i would just need to install it when i am ready to tune the same day. they also said i dont need any injectors if im not looking for huge power gains, which i am not. but he said i can get from about 95 hp to about 130ish with my stock parts.

how true is this?

stock injectors are almost at max duty cycle already, before you even add boost, at least grab some dsm 450s or 390s to go wtih that emanage...

dude, your asking for trouble tho...

You gotta be crystal-clear with people on the internet. FUnny analogies are the best way... Hopefully one day you'll see the quote about the ******

If you can find someone who can make the emanage work, 95 to 130 should be easy as hell. For 130 to the wheels, you can keep your stock 240's most likely. 310s aren't all that much, but 450's are as low as 30 shipped.

just leave the parts in your garage until you can afford proper fuel management.

thanks. for your reply. where can i get the next level injectors for cheap? or are they really cheap quality injectors? anyways if you have a link i would like to take a look at them. also i just want about 130ish whp. im not out to break any record just a little fun with reliability. the harness is comming from boomslang. they seem to have a harness that works with the emanage that came with the kit. i am very happy i found that site.

some tuners said that its ok to use the emanage because of such a low amount of hp im looking for.
