what is the ZC engine and what does it come out of?

the zc engine is a 1.6l, dual cam engine from a jdm crx si, sporting ~127 hp.

When deciding on an engine, you may want to factor in your local smog/emmision policies. From what I understand California does not like the ZC.

 

if this is an engine you are considering for a motor swap, i advise you to keep looking. HINT: (B series.)

 

I would recommened a 1.5 sohc vtec motor. =x

 

I just keep seeing ZC, curious to what it was.
if this engine dies or will cost alot to repair or if I just feel like it and upgrade would be nice no matter what. More power is always good.. Just checking out the options.

Yeah, a b series swap will only cost you about 3 times what the ZC will. It's all about budget.

 

1.5 SOHC VTEC, couple more hp then the ZC's.

 

how much hp on the 1.5 SOHC VTEC?

 

I got a d16z6 sohc vtec out of a 93 civic si...runs great, cheap and reliable

 

it says on the first site given as a refrence (marked001) that there was a "civic 4door Si" where this was only in japan? i have not herd of such a car.... if you can find one what would be the diffrence between the cars, accept of the engines obviously..such as how they where named or what they where called just " Ef Si" or somthing else? just wondering...
