94-96 Console in a 92??
Is it possible to convert the console in a 92 Prelude to the 94-96 Prelude console?
Looks like there could be a difference in the parking brake lever? My 92 is a manual transmission Si, 4WS.
Thanks,
Robert

it is possible, but you will have to change to the later style e-brake handle, rig up the cables to fit, and also make some sort of mount for the new e-brake handle
its a good bit of work, but well worth it, I had a 93 before and hated that console, my 96 lude came with it, a nice (borat accent)

i've done it, if you're not good a simple custom fabbing don't do it, or have someone do it for you. I'd give it a 5/10 on the diy scale since you gotta figure out where and how to mount things.
I feel fairly confident that I can do it, it looks like the most difficult task would be the e brake, does the 94-96 style e brake mount using any of the hole locations from the 92 version, or would I need to drill new mounting holes all together? The newer console looks like it might line up with some of the existing mounting hole locations in my 92? If I could get the mounting brackets from a 94-96 model, it looks like it would make things somewhat easier?

I've started looking at what I need to do to get this done, looks like the ebrake cables on my 92 aren't long enough to reach the new location where the 94-96 style ebrake would have to mount? Would I need the ebrake cables from a 94-96 model to make this work?
Have any you guys done this by extending the threaded rod on the ebrake, so it would reach the cables on the 92-93, it looks as though that might be a simpler fix?

I am in the process of trying to do this, I read in another thread about someone un-bolting the ebrake cables from their 92-93 and pulling enough of them inside the car to connect to the new mounting location for the 94-96 ebrake location, however I'm not real crazy about pulling my cables on my 92, so I'm going to try and extend the threaded rod portion on the 94-96 ebrake handle, by using some 6mm threaded rod cut to length and connecting it using a 6mm connecting nut with thread lock, so it will reach the cable connector for my 92.
