Yes. I have the Exedy Twin in my car right now. I daily drive it 100% whether it's warm and dry or cold and snowing. The clutch is still holding perfectly fine and I have about 20-22,000 miles on it. It's compeltely fine for the street. It's not hard to drive at all and it's not like it's either "on or off". If someone thinks that it is a touchy clutch or really hard to drive then something is wrong with it or they are just a *****.

i have a exedy twin as well...holding up for my second build...u get use to the clutch...and when u go back to driving a stock clutch in sumone else's car it almost feels like its broken or sumthing...cuz ur use to the stiffness haha..
making 400lb/ft. here. using ACT streetlite flywheel, ACT 6puck unsprung, ACT Xtreme PP. yes it sees the street from time to time and no it doesnt chatter at all.
edit: if i had to do a twin, i would use the RPS carbon on carbon twin disc.

I would go with Exedy but thats me. Boostfed can get it for you for a reasonable price

when you go Twin Disc, you gotta pay to play.
At 700hp, you have to go Twin disc. Its just better in the long run since the basic puck type clutches wont hold that power consistently.
We do the Tilton twin disc setups for $1295.00
PM me if you have any questions.
the replacement discs for the Tilton twin kits are only $250 or so. not too bad and theyre here in the US and can make them as needed. I had a problem with this with the Exedy and it took forever to get replacement discs sometimes.

Competition twin
I had a Exedy and they are nice for the street but it will cost too much when rebuilding. Would only get around 10k miles daily driving the Exedy, now with the Competition twin I have put over 18k miles on it in the last 5 months. Not one problem with it at all!

Seriously? 18K in 5 months? Do you do round trips weekly to Alaska or something?

You can go through 4K Miles a month easily if you're here in SoCal.

I have a 2hr commute (one way) everyday here in CO, and I deliver pizza's part time to help me get through school. Yet I think I put down about 18K a year. 5 months is insane!

thats about 160 miles a day. Some people commute 80 miles one way for work 5 days a week here in Socal. I know thats nuts, but its not uncommon. Then you have the weekend drives down to Vegas or San Diego or Tijuana. You can easily do 4K miles. hehe.
pizza Delivery wouldnt put that much miles I dont think. My 70 mile commute to and from work is probably more than what delivery guys do in a few hours. Whats the coverage of the delivery route? Not more than 2 miles right?
oops. sorry Off topic.
Anyways, You have to see how much you really need the Twin Disc. If you are using the car MOSTLY for commuting and daily driving, and only a day or so per month that you'll be using that much power(700hp), its not worth it to even have a daily car thats making that much power.

It's only about 800 miles a week! I have to fill my car up 2-3 times in a week. We were using it for the family truckster to keep the miles off of the STi. Which we have not had it for a year and has 21K on it. It is the only car that I have to drive as the wife gets the STi for hauling the kid around.
