Default Will This Be Hard To Fix?

Im thinking of trading my 86' rx-7 for this 88' CRX with a ZC swap. The guy twith the crx was hit on the passanger side and the hub (I think its the hub) is broken. I just wanna know if its hard to fix or anything special needed to fix it. My mec. skills are avg. but ill have help.

Damn I've never seen a knuckle snapped like that. It must have been hit pretty hard. It's possible that other stuff (like the rear crossmember or lower control arm) are bent as well.

Well sure, that's what he says. Of course the knuckle needs to be replaced, but when you smack into stuff at a speed great enough to break the knuckle, other stuff can bend/break too. I'm not trying to tell you to do one thing or another, but just saying that this is something to think about. When you look at the car, compare parts on the bent side of the car to the other side. Look at suspension parts and also at stuff like the bumper and fenders and how it all lines up and how big the gaps are. This can give you an idea of how straight the car is.

Yeah it's fixable that same thing happened to mine as well, try hunting down some si hubs and just replace everything, it's what I did and now mine drives fine.

its all nuts and bolts. easy fix. unless there is frame damage lol. then scrap it. but just fix the main things and get another 88-91 civic/crx and start measuring for different lengths and possible bent parts. good luck

Stock Si motor ~100 HP
DOHC ZC motor ~130 HP

It's not much of a difference but it's noticeably quicker.

i think a reason the strut on the left of the picture is sitting higher than the other side is because the shock body appears to be the only thing supporting that wheel (maybe). i'd recommend taking a look at the car in person and look for a bent frame!

Yeah but would that cause the place it bolts to to look so high and facing inward?

i say look for another car.... it may not be that hard of a fix, but in the long run, its gonna be a beeeatch if its messed up elsewhere besides that. wich by the sounds of it, i think the frame ect is also going to be beat somewhere..... only way to really tell is by looking over the ENTIRE car
