here is some of the things you will need... obd 1 conversion, virgin usdm p30 ecu and intake manifold(depending on the ref)or skunk 2 manifold
(carb legal), stock exhaust manifold or any carb legal header, all stock emmission equipment found on the 94-97 del sol vtec, and lastly, you have to pass a smog check.

good luck, from the looks of it, you will give up and sell the car.

Damn, I dont understand CA. Dont they need probable cause to search your car? In NY they need probable cause to search your car, like if they suspect that you are drinking and see some empty beers in your backseat it gives them probable cause to search. How could they ever know whats under the hood or even suspect it? That sucks and as far as swaps go you can put a chevy V8 in there and they wouldnt car at the inspection station here .

they do have to have probable cause but when they ask for you to open your hood most people will open it for them. I had a friend that told a cop no and the cop got a search warrant. they make it a big deal when you have a swap. Some one can flying by you well you are pulled over and it could be raining cocaine and empty beer cans out their car and doing drive bys and the cop wouldnt care.
