Default 88 crx si trailing arm help

okay well i was in the process of changing my struts when i realized that the bolts that hold the struts to the lca are stuck so i cut them with a rcp saw and got one out, btw im going to get new lcas anyways...but on the other side i snapped the head off a bolt that holds the lca to the trailing arm.. so right now im thinking i should get a new trailing arm for that side, but all the local yards dont have any in stock and cannot locate one for me . So right now i would like to know what other options i have for the trailing arm. Can i use another cars trailing arm?? I am not sure whether or not i want to do a rear disk swap it is a possibility but last resort. any help would be great.

Thanks
Ryan

All civic hatch/crx/sedan should have the same rear trailing arm, with the only difference being models with disc brakes (like the '91 Si CRX). You might consider finding a rear disc swap if you're going to replace a trailing arm.

are you sure about all the ef trailing arms fitting?? just want to make sure cause i found a whole bunch of civic hatch/sedan arms. The only reason im not doing the rear disks yet is because im a student and im just trying to finish my car up..soo money = tight.
Just want to make sure before i buy it.

Thanks,
Ryan

90-93 Integras can be source for the rear trailing arm

it's a common swap

I would go the route of converting to the 90-93 DA trailing arm and rear discs, you use the stock Upper and Lower control arms...you will need to make a custom e brake cable (shortening the integra) or 90-91 crx si e brake cables... The rest is a piece of cake...also if you do replace both trails for the DA replace the trailing arm bushings for ES why it's out of the car...makes life easier...

88-91 Prelude MC is 15/16 and bolts right up to stock EF booster
90-93 DA 40/40 Perportioning valve and your ready to go

DJ is right 88-91 EF civic/crx/sedan trailing arms should be identical...

I just looked through the parts diagrams for hatches, crx's, and sedans and they are the same PN.

I'd reccomend swapping the hubs out of the Integra arms and reusing your CRX arms for rear disc. They are lighter and smaller and there's no guarantee junkyard arms are going to be straight. One of mine was slightly tweaked.

Yeah, it's not too bad. You'll need a big torx socket and an impact wrench.
