check the valve cover build off threads, most use grinders then coarse sandpaper, any imperfections are filled with bondo(auto filler)

I shaved my valvecover down with Q-Tips. Takes a while, but you can't beat the results.

if you want to know how to do that too, click the seach button on the top right in red, type "shave valve cover" in the Search For box, choose archived content and click next.

i used a dremel plus some cut-off wheels. they seemed thin, so i stacked a pair and went at it.

followed it up with some 80, then 100 grit sandpaper.

about an hour-long job
