I just got a 1997 Prelude SI with a blown engine and now it turns out the old parts are not compatible with anything but the car it self.
Why would you do that when the market for swaps were blowing up during that year?

You dont drive an Si ... my gawd, you drive an SH. Cant really understand your question either. You can get around ATTS. Do some research and you will find all you need.
do this.
buy new h22.....any wil do
ditch your M2U4 Tranny (ATTS) for a M2B4 or M2Y4 5 seed.
also, I would seriously consider English lessons or grammar lessons at your community college.

First of all, I guess tonights a night for SmartAss remarks. Cool, but lets get the record straight. The Car is not a SH its a SI. Also I already have a H22A 1995 but because of the ATTS system I will need to get a Transmission aswell.
P/S: For anyone else with a "Big Keyboard", thank god for the Internet otherwise you not get to speak your mind.

The manual says all H22A4 engines are equipped with a ATTS system and the parts are not compatible with any other H22A, so it is not recommended for swaps.

okay, one last time. Maybe you will get it, maybe you won't!
The engine is a H22A4. The book (Honda engine swaps, by Aaron Bonk) says all H22A engines are similar but the H22A4 is equipped with the ATTS system. If its not and I miss understood, thank god because I am going to save alot of money. If you have any real advise please do it, respectfully.
I have a 1995 engine ready to swap but I just read about the ATTS system, that this car clearly states is equipped with. Now I believe I will need a new transmission for it also.

Lolers. All the above are right, just do a full swap and you will be good. 97 si , thats what it said in the listing right? was it a v6? Naw just playn man. You should really look up on your car. You drive a 4 banger 1997 Honda Prelude SH. Hope all goes well with your swap.

Your right! I just found it in the back of the book, not the manual. I just got this honda because it was a good deal. Now I am finding out that theres more to the story than I originally was told. When we made the deal I was told I only needed a engine.
Also I thought all the type S preludes were 220HP.
