Default 88 crx si exhaust, engine swap

Hi all, I have an 88 si that i am currently restoring to drive. It is rough so any help on my many questions would be great. I will also answer as much I can. I have already overcome many of my problems. I am going to pay 1500 for a B16 ZC swap with tranny (bought and installed) , and I am wondering if this is a good deal and How bout the engine? Next, the catback system for sale on ebay seem to come with the converter. Is this true? I am looking at the TENRAI system. Any thought? Thanks

catbacks are from behind the cat its not part of the system.

Its a 88-92 civic B16 DOHC ZC swap engine and tranny. I do not have that much knowledge on the swap. The local shop said it was best for the money. I want to spend 1500-2000 on engine and tranny swap and get most HP and torque for my buck. Can I leave the cat. off ,or will it rob proformance? thanks

There is no b16 dohc zc.

there is a b16
there is a dohc zc.

If you arn't 100% don't do it, because you don't know if the shop is being honest to you, or if they are telling you that they don't know what they are talking about.

Taking the cat off really doesn't do anything good honestly if you want to replace it from age upgrade to a highflow, decatting is pretty worthless for 95% of street cars.

Thanks for the correction. Any thoughts on a swap combo. daily driver, not racer, yet still want the bang for my buck.
