What to do? 91 CRX DX. B16 or 18 turbo, or B16,18, or 20 all motor???
Well, here's the deal. Friend bought my CRX then missed a shift and zinged it to about 11-12,000 rpm and dropped a valve. It was turbo B16 fully built minus sleeves. Has SiR trans. I'll be leaving the SiR trans with Quaife but adding LS 5th to it.
Here's my options; I have all of this and can slap any of these setups together.
Turbo options:
B16 turbo again. Eagle rods, Arias pistons.
B18A block with Eagle H beams and Arias pistons+B16 head
GSR block with Crower billet rods and Arias pistons+B16 head
All motor options:
B16 with 81.25 CTR pistons, stock B16 rods, ITR cams, B16 head with supertech flat face valves.
LSVTEC with eagles and Arias pistons+ same head above.
Stock GSR short block with above head
GSR short block with Crower billets, SRP pistons (10.7 or so compression) and above head
B20B short block with above head
B20B short block with Eagles and forged pistons and above head.
I know these types of questions have been beat to death but I have all of this stuff and just wondered what would be best. A couple combos I had thrown around were actually kind of weird
One I had thougt about:
LS block and head (head slightly ported) with GSR crank, Crower rods, Arias pistons and running turbo non-VTEC.

If moneys not an issue ls1 crx keep it FWD.

BTW, in case any of you guys are thinking hybrid engines (GSR internal B18B, LS internal GSR, etc), here is what I have:

B16: stock, ITR ported by DH Racing and Skunk2
B18A/B: stock B18B right now
GSR: stock and Skunk2
For all motor, I have 2 different DC headers (4-2-1 1 piece and 4-1 1 piece)
Turbo, I have DH Racing manifold and turbo plus all other necessary parts to do right.
