2 different throttle bodys? trying to make sense of the engine i just bought
ok so my old jdm h22a bit the dust, so i bought another used jdm h22a. So now im trying to put in this engine and i noticed the throttle bodies are way different from each other anyone know why? the engine is supposed to be an obd1 h22a which is what i had before but look.
old throttle body

this one looks to have hh2 imprinted on it
new throttle body
and although very faint i think this one has hh1 on it
tho they both have p13 on em, so im kinda stuck
whats with all the extra cables is that stuff i should just take off?
any help is appreciated

That looks like a throttle body for a automatic transmission. The extra throttle is for the auto tranny. I dont see an external coil so i believe its OBDI H22, you should be able to remove all that auto tranny stuff and you should be fine.
I would just use the old throttle body. The sensor on the top of the new one is the map. you have that on the firewall of your prelude. and you don't need all that extra stuff for your setup.

if you don't see an external coil, which you can't see well in this pic because it could have been removed, it would be OBD2.. the throttle body could have been swapped also but that is an OBD2 throttle body...OBD1's have the map sensor on the firewall...it is still usable just use the old map sensor.

I just put in my H22 with the same tb, and it was an auto obd1 engine, hence the extra cable on the throttle for the kickdown as well. Just swap the old tb you have on, and save you extra tps so you can sell it to someone like me who gets a broken one with their swap! just for giggles, you should measure the bore of both bodies, I found that my H23 tb was a few mm larger than the one on the jdm h22 as well.
if you'r interested in selling that TB, then send me an IM, i'm interested. Im driving around w/o crusecontrol now (OBD2 accord w OBD1 H22) .
This TB is for an auto tranny with crusecontrol.
