In the morning when i start my 2001 crv i need to warm it up or it will shut off on me when i put it into drive the check engine light goes on every once in a while i changed the fuel filter and i cleaned the throttle body. any help would be good thx

 

You should start by getting the DTC code since your CEL is coming on. This will be a start as to what the problem is.

 

The check engine light isnt on ne more but still having cold start problem. since the cel isnt on the code reader wont read ne thing.

 

Even if the CEL is not on you should be able to get History codes.

If none, go tolive data and check coolant temperature sensor reading, TPS and once warm O2 sensor.
