I only notice this sound when I'm accellerating. It's like there's some leaves in my fan for the a/c system. But why would it only make the noise under moderate accelleration?

check if any of your belts are rubbing the frame - my friends car did this

 

Nah, just changed the belts recently, did it before and after. Reputable mechanic changed them.

 

is it the stock motor?

when did it start making the noise?
did you recently do a modification?
