91 accord ex front driver fender and headlight bracket.
How do I get the headlight bracket off? I need to get it completely off cause it was damaged when a friend hit my car. But, I can't get to the bottom 2 screws cause of the bumper. But, by the looks of it, unless im missing something, I have to take off the bumper, except the headlights in the way of screws. So, how do I do it? And, is there a manual on taking off the driver fender, headlight bracket, and possibly the bumper if need be?
Yes, you have to remove the bumper to get to all the screws that mount the head light bracket. A Haynes manual has the instructions. There are a couple screws that attach the bumper skin to brackets at the forward side of each wheel well. You have to remove the splash panel from below the front bumper (metal and plastic screws), remove the battery to get to a nut for each bumper bracket, and remove the turn signal lenses in the bumper to get to the other two bolts for each of the bumper mounting brackets. It is not as bad as it sounds (I've had to do it a few times on my 3 Accords). If you go to Majestic Honda online, you can get an exploded view of the front bumper assembly. If the fender isn't damaged, you don't have to take it off to get the headlight assembly out.
