Well since this forum doesn't move much. I decided to entertain all the fellow audio/security/video sections with some pictures of my new build. Hope you enjoy.

The beginning... I fit 2 x 4x8 and 1 x 4x8 piece of wood in my Integra Hatchback. A few cuts and I was good to go.

After some measuring, cutting down the pieces into the right sizes. We are finally starting. But first, I needed a new false floor.

How it actually looks without false floor and with rear seats (I have rear false floor but it was crapppy), BEFOR.



The aftermath, after some hit and miss cuts and measuring.





Well enough with the trunk. Lets get on with the build!

Putting the pieces together, glued/clamped and brad nailed ftw.



Got 4 pieces put to gether for half the box and decided to throw it inside the car to see how it looked and how big it was.



Finally got the box together and baffle on. Clamping for glue to dry. Might look ugly right now but it'll look better.





Got the big *** hole cut. I didn't expect the hole to be this big. Double Baffle FTMFW.



Finally got my Terminal cut, and mounted for temp until I get home and solder on the wires and glue it and screw it on.



Onto the bracing.

Started to cut the holes for the 1 1/4" Oak Wooden Dowels. (HD biggest one, and Hardwood and Oak Wood, the hardwood one was weak)



Cut the dowel in half and used it as 2.





Edges rounded up. Still needs touch up but it'll do.

Ah how could I forget to post the updates here.


Updated pictures with the ports on (tubes not on). Just to see what they look like on.






I also may have a problem. The basket might hit the ports but i'm not sure. It's REAL REAL REAL close. Only time will tell when my new recone comes in.

Update:

Well I finally got the recone and everything. I checked to see if it fit, and it clears no problem! *WHEW*. Here are the updated pictures of the recone.

what kind of sub are you planning on putting in it?

Took like 13hours on/off to build the box/false floor. Started Saturday Noon finished around 1am or so. 18" 2005 RE Audio XXX / FI Audio Softparts Dual1.

 

dang, that thing is going to hit. are you doing this for DB drags, or just personal use. or kinda both?

 

It's for daily driver use. So basically personally use. But I do want it to hit high numbers on the termlab also.

 

Overkill anyone?? That's gonna be a monster. And in a hatch to. eeek!

I was using my phone for the camera. The lens kept getting sawdust on em and crap.

Well i'm taking the box to get it line-x'd soon, either today/tomorrow. I'm having it hooked up this weekend most likely.

Holy **** that's huge. Ports are going to be firing towards the front or the back?

for updates.

The box looks really good

only thing I see hurting the effeciency of your enclosure is having the ports too close to the rear. It will probably change the ports tuning as well, but I'm sure it will still be lould with that monster sub.
