Well I'm still working on getting it started. So far: resoldered the main relay, changed out the fuel pump. Fuel doesnt seem to be a problem, I can smell it when I'm cranking it, I can hear the fuel pump engage. Engine turns over but doesnt fire. Pulled plugs and they were very wet. Figured I flooded the engine and got my old plugs out that I had replaced last year just to check them. Unplugged the main relay so I wouldnt flood the engine again and tried to check for spark.

Now here is the weird part, I checked the plugs and when the car turns over I don't see a spark on the spark plugs. Put a screwdriver in there next to a bolt and still didn't see the spark. Is the spark very obvious and easy to see?

The reason I say its weird is that previously the car turned over, sometimes it would start and then conk out. Even yesterday I heard it start to run and then stall. Would a faulty distributor cause this? Coil? Igniter? I checked all the fuses and they look okay. Opened up the distributor and it looked okay, no moisture or burnt wires.

The initial problem was it would die after I filled it up with gas. Then I was driving in second gear and it died and had to be towed. Thought it might be the relay but I hear the fuel pump running after I soldered it and now smelll gas so that part is okay. I'm narrowing it down to spark.
