question for you K-series experts...........
the rsx-s and 06-07 si's have 6 speeds. the 02-05 civic si's and base model rsx had 5 speed trannies. im pretty sure the type s and si trannies are interchangable, but the si will be more expensive due to the lsd.

the 03's is a 6-speed tranny. Are you planning to do a converision to cable (RSX) from eletricic (Si)?

The RSX-S Tranny is a 6 speed, as is the 06 Si Tranny
The RSX-S Tranny does not have LSD. 06 Si Tranny does.
The RSX-S Tranny has a different 6th gear.
The RSX-S Tranny has a different final drive.
As far as mounting, I have no idea.

What are you talking about? If you're talking about DBW, that has nothing to do with the trannys.

i have a K20 im swapping into a crx, and im using an 03 type S tranny. My original post was incorrect. i meant to say RSX-S 6-speed and 06 Si tranny. Was just wonderin how comparable they were. think i confused everyone with that first post. i appreciate all the input. thanks!!
Actually the SI and RSX-S have the same final drive. 6th gear in the SI's are taller than the RSX-S for more relaxed highway cruising and better fuel economy

Actually, you are incorrect. The 02-04 RSX-S has a different 6th gear and different final drive than the 06 Si. The original poster was asking about an 03 RSX-S. The 05-06 RSX-S does have the same gearing (including final drive) as the 06 Si (6th is the only difference)
You were close, because all K series 6-speed trannies other than the 02-04 rsx-s have same 4.764 FD.
