They love power. Better hope you have a beast of an amp to power those solo x's.

One more thing, if installed properly in a properly constructed cabinet, along with a properly installed, [wired and powered] amp, it will be stupid loud. 94

i did 2 solo x 12's, and 2 2500 watt kicker amps in the back of a guys caprice at my work. friggin loud, it bent the hinges on his trunk lid. he has to keep boxes of taillight bulbs in his car cause they break when he plays the stereo. fcm is right though, youll have to come off the hip to power those amps. we put in an ohio generator alt, (i dont remember the amperage) 3 optima yellow tops, and a 100 farad cap setup. and he still cant play it for long periods of time. the van we used in 98 to beat alma gates at db drag finals had 3 leece neville alt. off of grey hound bus's and 24 optima yellow tops running 24 mmats d300's. you can buy all the amps you want, but if you cant supply the power they need their useless. but if you can afford it all, i say go for it.

That's just freakin insane. TWO solo X subs is outrageous bass. Not to mention all the extra goodies like Kinetic batteries, CAP, truckloads of dynamat, that will have to accompany such power.

Some people are straight bassheads. Like me I like bass. It's never enough. Some like to compete.

there is no point in getting a 2nd sub, all it does is increase your db by 3, not much bang for your buck in my opinion, 1 solo x would destroy 2 l7s

If it's too much, you're just too old

it's not about the sub it's about the box! and the amp..... put a good amp and a great box design on your setup now or even something a LITTLE better and it will hammer just as much. that said a better amp would require an upgraded electrical system

solo x's are competition subs, they dont sound as clean as L7s. what is the model number of the kenwood amp you have powering ur L7 and are you running a sealed or ported box?
Solo Xs are definately a big investment.

no, not good thinking. Good amp wrong application. a JL 500.1 isnt enough power.
If that is your amp simply upgrading it will probably make you happy, considering that sub can handle 4 times as much power as you are giving it. what impedance is your L7? dual 4 ohm or dual 2ohm? Your sub is an L7 right or is it an L5?
